Lytron recently hired two additional electrical engineers – one for the
design engineering department and one for the quality assurance department. Both hires were made to support Lytron’s growing cooling systems and assemblies business as well as ensure Lytron’s ongoing superior quality. Lytron’s technical team provides design, analysis, verification, and prototype development for liquid cooling systems and components. In addition, Lytron’s engineers partner with customers’ engineering teams to balance thermal, mechanical, and electrical performance requirements with cost, delivery, quality, and serviceability requirements.

Lytron currently has positions open for engineers, buyers/planners, and 2nd shift inspectors, welders, assemblers, and furnace operators. Visual Factory Chillers

A visual factory is a factory that uses visual methods to convey information in a lean manufacturing environment. Lytron operates a visual factory that is continuously striving to improve quality and on-time delivery for its customers. The current status of jobs is clear to everyone involved and everyone is, quite literally, on the same page. For example, the chiller team works off of flat screen monitors at each work station that show them all of the build documentation electronically, and the current week’s production goals and customer commitment dates are posted in the factory for everyone to see and reference as needed. Lytron also uses color coding in numerous areas to help employees quickly and easily identify prototypes that have special handling requirements.  

ISO 9001

Lytron has been approved to the 2008 revision of the ISO 9001 standards for quality management systems. The new certificate is available for download from Lytron’s quality webpage. Lytron had previously been certified to ISO 9001: 2000.
